Adjunct Instructor

2006-2018: I taught creative writing, composition, literature, public speaking, and reading courses at several public and private institutions across the country. I taught everything from introductory level courses to graduate (MFA) workshops. I also tutored ESL students and directed various literary magazines and independent-study projects. 

Curriculum

In 2010, I was selected to rewrite the curriculum with a team of professors from across multiple disciplines. The goal was to create courses and projects that were more related--that created a more complete liberal arts experience. The summer rewrite not only resulted in a better curriculum, but also created lasting connections between departments. 

In 2017, I was chosen by the department chair to write the master syllabus for the introductory creative writing courses at Aims Community College.
